Greetings MITA Members, I just wanted to provide a reminder about these important dates! May is apparently MITA month this year!
Sunday, April 23rd: Rally for Lawrence Teachers. We need you! Bus leaves MITA at 8:30 AM!! Please join us if you can!!! Email Mandy to let us know you'll be there! Office@Middleislandteachers.org.
Tuesday, May 2nd: Please join us at Don Quijote in Miller Place for happy hour after work from 2:30 - 6PM. Just come after school! Your first drink is on us! Door prize raffle for 5 tickets to a Ducks Game!!
Friday, May 12th at the HS Gym: Please come out and help us set up the books for Longwood Day and the big FREE book distribution event! 2 PM - whenever we're done, hopefully by 5. We will feed you! Just stay as long as you can, an hour helps!!! You can take your free books at the set up! (This is the more critical of the two days of the book event. Once it is set up, it goes very smoothly. Please help if you can!!)
Saturday, May 13th Longwood Day: Free Books in the gym!! Please help out that day if you can give any time!!
Monday May 15th, 4:15 in the HS auditorium: MITA informational meeting, review of the MOA, followed by ratification vote.
Thursday, May 18th: Annual MITA Dinner Dance at Majestic Gardens at 6:30 PM Tickets are available from your building reps. Free ticket for all first-year MITA members! Free pair of tickets for our 2023 retirees and 20-year honorees!
